In the July/August 2004 issue of HogTales:The Journal of the H.O.G. experience, Clement Salvadori wrote about a trip to Richmond, VA via the Blue Ridge Parkway. He writes:
Maggie Valley has about a thousand motels rooms to rent and the Wheels Through Time Museum to visit. No Harley rider should miss seeing that place. The museum has more than 200 American-built motorcycles on display but they are not necessarily shiny do-not-touch objects, as they all work. Curator Dale Walksler will cheerfully fire up a Harley-Davidson 1936 Knucklehead, Steve McQueen's 1917 military motorcycle, and Evel Knievel's 1970 H-D jump bike, as well as a Henderson Four or any number of other bikes as he shows you around. It is a great show!
